New Web Site

My site has a new look! It has been a long time coming, and I’ve finally cleaned it up and gave it a brighter, fresher look, and made it easier to navigate. Of course, that also means I’ve deleted (or mostly just hidden) a lot of old posts, too.

I won’t be doing much blogging going forward – only about important stuff – and will mostly be using the newsletter to announce new releases, new books I’m working on, etc. So, make sure you’re subscribed (see below)!

KILLING SARAI Movie Update (re-post)

I’m so excited to show you all the first stills from the upcoming film, KILLING SARAI, optioned by William Levy! I have to say, William Levy looks like a great Victor Faust, and even without red hair Alicia Sanz easily pulls off the ‘Sarai’ look.

The photos above and below are in the hotel room with Victor Faust after Sarai sees the video of her friend, Lydia, being tortured by Javier Ruiz.

Check out the KILLING SARAI Instagram ( En Brazos de un Asesino) for more photos!

Lastly, if you haven’t already, you should join the Pinterest board for In the Company of Killers to see my visual inspiration as I write each book in the series – be on the lookout for new images because they often give away clues! And as a member of the board, you can also add your own depictions of the characters and story-lines! Just send an email to JREDMERSKI {AT} YAHOO {DOT} COM and request an invite – be sure to include the email address associated with your Pinterest account.

Again, thanks for your patience!

Celebrate THE EDGE OF NEVER 5-Year Anniversary! (re-post)

November 14, 2017 marks the five-year anniversary of THE EDGE OF NEVER‘s original release, and I want to celebrate by giving away some awesome stuff, and introducing Camryn and Andrew to readers who haven’t met them yet!

THE EDGE OF NEVER was one of the most successful and exciting New Adult books published in 2012. It made the New York Times bestseller list at #2; remained #1 on Amazon for two weeks; also made the Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestseller lists, and later won the Prix des Lectrices award in France in 2014!

Readers have often described THE EDGE OF NEVER as: “the ultimate ugly-cry novel”, “one of the most beautiful love stories I’ve ever read”, and “a roller-coaster ride of every emotion imaginable”.

To celebrate, I’m giving away 10 signed paperbacks and some signed bookmarks, and one lucky grand prize winner will also receive the limited edition book necklace I gave away after the first release!

All you have to do to enter for your chance to win is share something about THE EDGE OF NEVER on any social media account, using the hashtag #TheEdgeOfNever5Anniversary between now and November 13. I will scour the internet for the hashtag and personally choose which ‘shares’ will win. Winners will be announced on anniversary day, November 14th! This contest is open internationally – one international grand prize winner will be chosen to win a book necklace and signed paperback.

Here are some of my favorite past shares, (not eligible to win, but I love them, and they’re great examples!):

Interview W/ Models Matt Turner & Siobhan Kirby – ‘Elias & Bray’ SONG OF THE FIREFLIES (re-post)

1. What did you think about the book (SONG OF THE FIREFLIES), and your opinion on New Adult in general?

Admittedly, I am a bit of a slow reader, so I haven’t finished it yet, but damn, it’s good. I am really enjoying the book, I think it’s well written, and moves along at a good pace. I really enjoy the characters. Bray and Elias are so intriguing. This is the first new adult book I’ve read. I usually read Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Non-Fiction. So far it’s been great! It’s turned me on a few times too :p

2. Do you have any characteristic similarities with Elias?

Hmmm, Elias, is a pretty complex, yet relatable character. I’d say that, like him, I follow my heart, and always try to do the right thing. He’s pretty laid back, and enjoys to party. That’s kind of me in a nutshell.

3. Have you read the book yet? If so, what do you think about portraying Elias?

I am still reading the book, but Elias is a great character to have portrayed. He’s got his heart in the right place, he’s handsome, and pretty laid back. Bray, really loves him, and he’s quite the dynamo in the sack :p

4. Do you think your shoot properly portrays the character?

When I did the shoot I wasn’t aware that I was going to be portraying Elias. I was contacted, by a local photographer about doing a shoot with a female. We shot it in the middle of winter at VanDusen Gardens in Vancouver. Her and I had great chemistry and we got that shot. It worked out really well, and I am so happy it was selected for the cover. I think it definitely captures Bray and Elias, bang on!

5. How does it feel to be modeling for a New York Times bestselling author?

At the time of the shoot, I didn’t know this is where it would end up. I am glad it did, this has been amazing, and I am happy to do it again. My family was really surprised, and so was I. I found out just before Christmas that I was on the cover. It was a great Christmas present for me!!

6. Were you nervous for this shoot?

No, not really. This wasn’t the first time I had shot with a female, at least I had clothes on this time :p, and it wasn’t my first shoot. The other model and I talked a bit before hand and got comfortable with each other, so it was no problem.

7. What other modeling have you done? Have you been on any other book covers?

I’ve done a fair amount of modeling. A couple runways, but mostly just portfolio building. This is my first book cover, but I have been on a brochure, as well as, the website for the Pacific Bi-Polar Foundation. There’s some new stuff in the works as well.

8. If you weren’t modeling, what else would you love to do?

Modeling has been really good for me as of late, so I am enjoying it a lot right now. I went to film school, so I would love to be working in that realm as well. I also love to travel, and go to concerts. I am a music junkie.

9. In SONG OF THE FIREFLIES, Elias and Bray do a lot of traveling – where have you traveled?

I love traveling, and Georgia is on my list of places to go to. I’ve been all over North America, and Europe a few times. I’ve been to New Orleans a few times and I am in love with the south. The food is amazing, and so is the music.

Benjamin Fiege (Andrew) Cover Model – THE EDGE OF ALWAYS (re-post)

Benjamin Fiege is the model on the cover of THE EDGE OF ALWAYS, and I it’s such a coincidence that he is a musician who sings and plays guitar, just like Andrew!

Check out these two exclusive interviews with Benjamin about being the cover model:
