I often get asked for book recommendations, or what are some of my personal favorites both indie and traditionally published, and today I thought I’d share them with you. As an author, it’s kind of my job to talk about my own books, but I think as a reader it’s also my job – and my pleasure – to spread the word about other books that I have enjoyed.
So without further rambling, here are sixteen of my favorite books! :-)

ON THE ISLAND by Tracey Garvis-Graves – The first and only book I read in one day (eight hours to be exact) – A stunning novel!
THE WEIGHT OF NIGHT by C.L. Stegall – A phenomenal storyteller with a rich, original storyline!
DUST by Devon Ashley – Vivid imagery, kick-ass heroine, swoon-worthy hero and a dangerous take on the world of the Fae.
BEAUTIFUL DISASTER by Jamie McGuire – A non-stop roller-coaster of emotions that had me figuratively on the edge of my seat.
IF YOU STAY by Courtney Cole – One of the best ‘sweet girl saves broken bad-boy’ books I’ve read! I couldn’t help but root for these two to the end.
SCREWING UP TIME by C.M. Keller – A wonderful little gem of a book! Unique, fast-paced and phenomenal writing!
AUTUMN: THE CITY by David Moody – This book was nail-bitingly fantastic! A vivid, rich, descriptive style with not a single dull moment in its pages.
THE VINCENT BOYS by Abbi Glines – I love me some Beau! This book made me swoon, smile, curse and blush – loved it!

THE VAMPIRE ARMAND by Anne Rice – I’ve read this book more times than any book I’ve ever read – the book (and author) that made me want to pursue my writing dreams.
AMERICAN GODS by Neil Gaiman – Truly an epic piece of storytelling! A brilliant concept with a colorful cast of characters that could never fit properly into any other book.
BLOOD AND GOLD by Anne Rice – Marius de Romanus is my all-time favorite vampire! This book tells his story as vivid and breathtaking as only Anne Rice can.
NEVERWHERE by Neil Gaiman – In true Gaiman style, this book takes you places you never could’ve conjured up on your own. (Neverwhere partly inspired my novel Dirty Eden.)
THE ROAD by Cormac McCarthy – Not for the fainthearted – this book will rip you to shreds. Seriously. Probably the most emotionally damaging novel I’ve ever read. Brilliant!
SWAN SONG by Robert McCammon – Dark, and at the same time, filled with hope. The only book that took me more than a month to read that I didn’t give up on. It’s lengthy, but worth it!
STARDUST by Neil Gaiman – Fun, imaginative and spectacular! Can’t you tell I love Neil Gaiman?
THE BRONZE HORSEMAN by Paullina Simons – A stunning novel about love and war that is believable and breathtaking. I’m personally in love with Sura – just sayin’.
So there you have it! Of course, there are many other books I love, but I couldn’t possibly list them all here. Check a few of them out and enjoy! :-)
Sincerely,
