I’ve been using Pinterest for a while now, adding photos to specific book boards to represent my characters and scenes and even music. Though, it wasn’t until SONG OF THE FIREFLIES that I started pinning various photos as I wrote because I found that it greatly helped me visualize scenes as they happened. And in a few cases, I was so inspired by certain photos that they actually inspired scenes!
So, the little secret is that if you’re ever curious about what scenes I’m working on at any given time, or what’s going on inside my head as far as characters (what they’re wearing, new characters being introduced you haven’t met yet and what they look like, etc.) peek in on the board for the particular book you’re interested in and find out! Follow the boards you’re interested in to get updates whenever I pin something new!
