Have you not read THE MAYFAIR MOON yet because you have a Nook and you can’t buy a copy? Do you have a Goodreads account? If the answer is ‘yes’ to both questions, then I’ll give you a FREE Nook copy of THE MAYFAIR MOON today only 4/30. All you need to do is contact me THROUGH GOODREADS by private message, include your email address where I can send the copy and I’ll send you one! The only thing I ask is that after you’ve read it (and of course, there are no time-frames – read it whenever you want to) that you post at least a rating on Goodreads. A review isn’t necessary, but if you’d like also to include your thoughts on the book, then that’s great. :-)

Today is your chance, Nook owners, so be kind and spread the word! Tweet. Post. Whatever! But remember, YOU MUST HAVE A GOODREADS ACCOUNT AND ONLY CONTACT ME THROUGH THERE! Click HERE to go to my Goodreads author page.

Thanks and enjoy!

Honest Opinion – What Do YOU Think? Please RT

Filed Under (Mood: Stressed) by Jessica Redmerski on 28-04-2012

I’ve been dealing with a major dilemma lately and I’m still not sure what I should do about my covers. So, I want YOUR honest opinion, whether brutal or gushing, to help put this decision to rest once and for all.

I have to admit, I’ve had A LOT of unexpected  and unprovoked compliments on the cover for TMM, and so far have only read two negative opinions on it. At first, I thought that since there have been more positive comments than negative that it’s a no-brainer, but being a typically indecisive and pessimistic person, I will worry over this forever.

So, the dilemma is: Should I pay a professional to make a new cover for THE MAYFAIR MOON?

First off, I wanted to do a theme for THE DARKWOODS TRILOGY, like you see above. It’s a simple theme as you can see. Also, I wanted to do something different than what most of the YA covers out there are doing and not use actual people on my covers to visually depict my main characters. Nothing wrong with other covers like that – I just wanted to be different. But in YOUR opinion, is that a risky move? Do you think that by being somewhat different, my cover(s) might be passed up by YA readers because they don’t look like other covers out there? Also, do my covers LOOK YA, regardless of not having teenagers on the cover?

What do YOU think about this? I NEED YOUR HELP! And the more people that reply in comment, the better! So, if you don’t mind, retweet this post to your friends, do whatever you think might bring more opinions.

Thanks! :-)

NOTE: If it helps you decide, THIS is the kind of quality I will be getting by changing the cover!

Inevitable Price Change, KINDRED & Other Stuff

Hi folks! Just a few quick announcements!

-THE MAYFAIR MOON *FINAL* PAPERBACK GIVEAWAY-

There will be another paperback giveaway (2 copies available – U.S. only) over on Goodreads for THE MAYFAIR MOON – Book One in the Darkwoods Trilogy starting Monday 4/30. This will be the *last* giveaway for this title before Book Two, KINDRED, is released later this year! So, be sure to enter the giveaway because unless it’s a giveaway hosted by a book blog site, there will not be another one!

-THE MAYFAIR MOON PRICE INCREASE-

OK, I’ve already done several FREE promotions on Amazon for a Kindle copy of THE MAYFAIR MOON, had the book priced at $0.99 for long periods of time and $1.99 for the majority of the time. I’ve given away more than 3,000 copies between free promotions, reviewers and other various giveaways. Starting June 1st, I’m setting THE MAYFAIR MOON to it’s permanent price of $2.99 and leaving it that way (this is subject to change depending on circumstances).  So, I encourage anyone who has been thinking about checking it out, or who has intended to purchase it, but hasn’t gotten around to it yet, to snag your copy before June 1st and the price goes up!

-BOOK TWO, KINDRED, IN THE DARKWOODS TRILOGY-

I’ve been furiously typing away working on the second book in the Darkwoods Trilogy, titled KINDRED and can say it will be released later this year – sorry I don’t have a more detailed time-frame just yet. In the meantime, you can check out the official blurb for KINDRED (just click on the book cover above) to get a first glimpse into what’s next for Adria and Isaac. And you can add it to your to-read shelf on Goodreads – so please check it out! KINDRED will be sexier, the love will be deeper, the tragedies will be more unbearable and the ending will be intense!

Thanks!
