Hi everyone! I’ve got some cover news for all of the UK fans that I wanted to share with you! As you know, the U.S. and International versions of books are almost always different in some aspect, whether it’s just a subtle color change, or a entirely different cover. I love that there are so many different cover versions of the same book and I’m always excited to see what my foreign publishers come up with.

The UK *digital* version of THE EDGE OF ALWAYS will feature ‘Andrew’ on the cover as shown above just like in the U.S., but just with a different color of text, which I LOVE! However, the print version in the UK will have more differences than just font color. It will have a completely different photo! There will be an exclusive UK *print* cover reveal for THE EDGE OF ALWAYS hosted on The W6 Book Cafe. So be looking out for that in the coming weeks and I’ll keep you updated here as well.

Remember, THE EDGE OF ALWAYS *digital* book will be released on November 7th in the UK and November 5th in the U.S., and that’s right around the corner!

In the meantime, you can pre-order the UK digital and print versions:

Amazon for Kindle only £1.49

Print version with all-new cover only £7.99

Thanks! :-)

THE EDGE OF NEVER Paperback Availability

Hi all! July is a pretty big month for me. My U.S. paperback release for THE EDGE OF NEVER was on July 2nd and yesterday, July 4th it was officially released in the UK.

(L-R HarperCollins UK – Lizzie (marketing), Alex (art) and my super sweet editor, Martha Ashby!)

Here it is in a U.S. Barnes & Noble – I’m a few steps over from Robert Kirkman (you have no idea how excited that makes me, LOL! Two entirely different genres, I know, but all who know anything about me know I’m a HUGE Walking Dead fan!)

THE EDGE OF NEVER has also been released recently in the Philippines:

I’m just so thrilled to finally be in bookstores! I also wanted to mention that these paperbacks (although I’m still unsure about the one in the Philippines) do include the bonus chapter that I wrote after so many fans of Camryn and Andrew requested it. For those who are wondering, right now only the new *improved and EDITED* paperback includes the bonus chapter and the reason for this is because the digital versions had already been published. That is not to say the bonus chapter won’t be added to the digital versions at a later date. If it is, I will announce it ASAP.

Lastly, I know I met and signed books for so many fans at Book Bash 2013, but for those of you who couldn’t make it, or I ran out of free books before you got to my table, now that you can buy the book in stores, you’re more than welcome to ship it to me to the address on my Contact page, I will sign it and ship it back to you! :-)

In the Company of Killers Series & The Anatomy of a Cliffhanger

As many of you already know, I released a new book on June 19th titled KILLING SARAI and so far the majority of reviews on Goodreads and Amazon are FANTASTIC! I was worried about publishing this one because it’s so very different from THE EDGE OF NEVER – darker and gritty, among other things. But thankfully KILLING SARAI has been well received by just about everyone who reads my books and I’m grateful!

I just wanted to talk briefly about In the Company of Killers to give everyone a heads-up about my intentions with this ‘project’. First of all, yes, it is a series. I have big plans for not only Sarai and Victor, but other characters (some you’ve met, some you haven’t) and it’s safe to say that there’s absolutely no way I can tell this story in just a couple of books. So yes, you can expect more than two.

I wanted everyone to know that I will not end any of the books in this series on ‘cliffhangers’. Now let me explain what I believe is the difference between a cliffhanger and a continuation. A cliffhanger is when Jill spends two hours of her life watching a movie about Danny, a guy who must find the key that opens the box which contains the answer to the mystery of the afterlife. Nearing the end of the movie, Jill is on the edge of her seat because Danny is so close, the box is right there and the key is in his hand. Jill and Danny will both soon know what happens to us after we die! OMG! Here it comes…the moment Jill has been waiting for. Then Danny turns the key and opens the box and while Jill is digging her Freddy Kruger fingernails into her poor boyfriend’s arm, the screen goes black and the credits start rolling.

What. The. Fuck?

That is a cliffhanger. I will not do that to you with my series In the Company of Killers. All of my books will have resolution at the end and some will end without you even feeling like there will be another book at all *coughrevivingizabelcough*, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be another book. It just means that you will be able to read *some* of them as if they are the last, and the others *coughkillingsaraicough* will just leave you with the knowledge that there will be another book.

A continuation is just that: the knowledge that there will be another book because it’s not realistic that it all be tied up in one. I don’t want to give too much away about KILLING SARAI for those who haven’t read it yet, but to those of you who have, you know there is only one important aspect of Victor and Sarai’s relationship that did not get ‘wrapped up’ in book one. If it had, you all know it would’ve been too fast!

Lastly, I want everyone to know that I do not intend to make you wait a year for each new book! I can’t give any better time-frames, but it definitely won’t be that long of a wait!

The only thing I can, with certainty, promise you is that this series will only get darker, grittier and sexier (yes, the romance will definitely be amped-up more than it was in book one!). I hope you’ll all give it a chance and not worry so much about me pulling a Danny on you! :-)

Book Bash and the Day Ollivander Nearly Made Me Cry

So, despite being terrified and almost not going, my first book signing event turned out awesome! Of course, I didn’t expect Book Bash to be anything less than awesome considering it’s the invention of the seriously sweet, Maryse and her team of superhero volunteers. They should get their own show. No joke. Fantastic job, everyone! :-)

I met so many fans of THE EDGE OF NEVER and KILLING SARAI and was happy to see some had even brought books from my Darkwoods Trilogy to get signed. It was great meeting all of you! I also want to thank my publisher, Forever Romance, for providing me with 200 paperbacks of THE EDGE OF NEVER to give away to fans! And so many of them wanted me to thank you as well for them because they though it was great that a publisher would do that.

Now, onto photos! Unfortunately, I was too busy signing like a madwoman to have time to stop and take photos of my own and my trusty assistant (my daughter) was too busy helping me keep my table full of books, so I only got a couple.

(Me and fellow author, Constance Sharper – photo sent to me from author friend, Devon Ashley)

(Me and Maryse!)

(Me and a devoted EDGE OF NEVER fan, Abbie Dauenheimer)

So, I’m on a mission now to find as many photos as I can with the fans! If you were at Book Bash and got your photo taken with me, I’d love it if you sent me a copy so I can add it here to this post! Email me at JREDMERSKI {AT} YAHOO {DOT} COM.

Now onto Ollivander…

After Book Bash, my kids and I went across the street to Universal Studios primarily to visit Harry Potter world. LOVED it! It was so authentic and I was so excited I could hardly contain myself.

I ate at the Three Broomsticks and drank Butterbeer and found the ever-elusive Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans (seriously, they’re elusive, click on the link!) And when I went into Ollivander’s shop and watched a little girl get her wand Harry Potter style, I almost cried! LOL Hey, what can I say, I’m a huge Harry Potter fan!

So that’s it for now. Please email me those Book Bash photos! In the meantime, be on the lookout for a new giveaway for THE EDGE OF NEVER hosted by Forever Romance! And tomorrow I’ll be posting another blog about my new series, In The Company of Killers and talk briefly about my plans for that project.

Below are photos added over time from Book Bash 2013 from fans – Keep checking back for more!

New Release: KILLING SARAI – June 20, 2013

Finally, I’m set to release a brand new novel on June 20th titled KILLING SARAI – I’m so excited! I finally got the cover today and, like most of my covers, it was shot and created by the lovely Michelle Monique. As always, she does such an amazing job and I’m so happy with how the cover turned out!

Don’t let the title scare you! KILLING SARAI is a Romantic Suspense novel and, well, here is the official synopsis:

From the author of the New York Times, USA Today & Wall Street Journal bestselling novel, THE EDGE OF NEVER, comes a story of passion and survival…

Sarai was only fourteen when her mother uprooted her to live in Mexico with a notorious drug lord. Over time she forgot what it was like to live a normal life, but she never let go of her hope to escape the compound where she has been held for the past nine years.

Victor is a cold-blooded assassin who, like Sarai, has known only death and violence since he was a young boy. When Victor arrives at the compound to collect details and payment for a hit, Sarai sees him as her only opportunity for escape. But things don’t go as planned and instead of finding transport back to Tucson, she finds herself free from one dangerous man and caught in the clutches of another.

While on the run, Victor strays from his primal nature as he succumbs to his conscience and resolves to help Sarai. As they grow closer, he finds himself willing to risk everything to keep her alive; even his relationship with his devoted brother and liaison, Niklas, who now like everyone else wants Sarai dead.

As Victor and Sarai slowly build a trust, the differences between them seem to lessen, and an unlikely attraction intensifies. But Victor’s brutal skills and experience may not be enough in the end to save her, as the power she unknowingly holds over him may ultimately be what gets her killed.

This is their story…

(Romantic Suspense | 94,000 words | 400 pages)

P.S. If you’re wondering how to pronounce ‘Sarai’ -

Pronunciation: sa-rai
sa- pronounced same as the “su” in summer
rai- pronounced same as “rye”
