I am a huge Alice In Wonderland fan and have been anticipating the new Tim Burton version of the film, for quite some time.  And so I logged onto Yahoo! today and saw this:

I’m so excited, I can’t wait! Johnny Depp, Helena Bonhan Carter, Michael Sheen, Alan Rickman, Christopher Lee….hell, what more could I ever ask for?!

Yeah, so that’s my blog for a few days, or so. I just had to share my excitement. :-)

Getting Rid of Body Parts

It wouldn’t be the first, or second part I gave up to medical research. OK, so it wasn’t for medical research, and my gallbladder is probably sitting in some dark red container with hazzard symbols on the side, in a landfill somewhere out there. I just had it out yesterday, so I’m certainly not thinking I’m out of the woods yet, because quite honestly I’ve never been very confident where my health is concerned. **coughhypochondriaccough**

These photos are not pretty, even though my bloated stomach is still covered by gauze (I thought I was only supposed to get 4 tiny incisions, but I’ve counted 5). I did take some photos with the gauze pulled off and my stomach so bloated that I could not bend over, but decided most were too gross to show. :-S

Now the one below is my bellybutton! It’s sunken in around my skin! Nasty. :-S My stomach was hard as a rock and hurt like hell. The bloating is from all the stuff they pumped into me in order to see inside my stomach.

I still feel crappy, but better than I did yesterday and earlier this morning. I’m sure a lot of that ‘feeling betterness’ is because of the Percocet, but also because of the beautiful flowers that Brian sent me! :-D

Biking or Photographing?

We were going to ride bikes yesterday when the weather was great and 77 degrees, but today was unfortunately the day we ended up with. It was windy as hell, which made it too cold. My eyes were watery by the time I got half-way down the bike trail. Not to mention, the wind nearly knocked us off our bikes. So, we (my oldest son and I) stopped often and took more photos than we did actual riding.

Does that photo make me a tree hugger? Hmmm.

There’s Devan, my oldest son, doing whatever. This is crazy facial expression photo #1. We were under the river bridge and would have went further, but we realized there was a homeless man under it too, crushing cans. So we left.

Now this is crazy facial expression photo #2. I think he probably thought that face was ‘cool’ until I got it home and we looked at it full size, hahaha! He really didn’t want me to put this one up, but, well you know…… :-P

Okay, now I thought, “Oooh! Look at that big effin’ tree! Let’s climb on it and take a picture!” Well, it was easy getting up there, but on my way down I had to sort of jump and I fell, got grass stains on my new jeans and hurt my hand pretty bad. Of course, Devan had to show me how easy it was to jump down and not get hurt because that’s what 14-year-old’s do to their much older, practically crippled parents.

That’s all for today. I think I need an ice pack.
