Finally, I’m set to release a brand new novel on June 20th titled KILLING SARAI – I’m so excited! I finally got the cover today and, like most of my covers, it was shot and created by the lovely Michelle Monique. As always, she does such an amazing job and I’m so happy with how the cover turned out!

Don’t let the title scare you! KILLING SARAI is a Romantic Suspense novel and, well, here is the official synopsis:

From the author of the New York Times, USA Today & Wall Street Journal bestselling novel, THE EDGE OF NEVER, comes a story of passion and survival…

Sarai was only fourteen when her mother uprooted her to live in Mexico with a notorious drug lord. Over time she forgot what it was like to live a normal life, but she never let go of her hope to escape the compound where she has been held for the past nine years.

Victor is a cold-blooded assassin who, like Sarai, has known only death and violence since he was a young boy. When Victor arrives at the compound to collect details and payment for a hit, Sarai sees him as her only opportunity for escape. But things don’t go as planned and instead of finding transport back to Tucson, she finds herself free from one dangerous man and caught in the clutches of another.

While on the run, Victor strays from his primal nature as he succumbs to his conscience and resolves to help Sarai. As they grow closer, he finds himself willing to risk everything to keep her alive; even his relationship with his devoted brother and liaison, Niklas, who now like everyone else wants Sarai dead.

As Victor and Sarai slowly build a trust, the differences between them seem to lessen, and an unlikely attraction intensifies. But Victor’s brutal skills and experience may not be enough in the end to save her, as the power she unknowingly holds over him may ultimately be what gets her killed.

This is their story…

(Romantic Suspense | 94,000 words | 400 pages)

  2. J.A., you have done it again. I. AM. HOOKED! These characters are gritty and so real… movie reels flashed in my mind through the entire journey of the book. Your writing is refreshing. Keep ‘em coming!! And thank you.

  3. I just finished reading Killing Sarai. I was so excited when I found out you have a new book out. This book has everything: action, suspense, and romance. I absolutely LOVE Sarai and Victor. Never have I liked a female character as much as I did Sarai. I feel like I went through the same emotions she did as I read the book. Victor just makes me swoon. I didn’t mind the sex scenes at all. In fact, they were HOT! I DID NOT want this book to end. I cried reading the last chapter (whenever his name was mentioned) and I am not ashamed to admit it. I cannot wait for book 2 and I hope there are more to come!!! When will Reviving Izabel be out??

  10. I am really liking the NA genre. The Edge of Never is what got me hooked on it. I like the edgy and intense stories, the ones that rip apart your emotions and stay in your head for days. But HEAs. :)

  11. Currently I am loving the NA genre. I am in the middle of reading The Edge of Never and enjoying it. I’m sure as I read more of this genre, I will have more to say. I am excited for Killing Sarai because I truly love romantic suspense.

  12. I wanna win!

  13. It was THE EDGE OF NEVER that introduced me to the new adult genre. I really enjoy the genre but love to see less of the jerky, alphahole hero characters. Prefer the gamma hero.

  14. Can’t wait to read this! Loved the Edge of Never :-) I have no suggestions for upcoming books as I fall in love with everything I read. Going through 5-7 books a week, I will never make a dent in my TBR….

  15. Jazmin Gonzalez

Killing Sarai and Edge of Never are amazing books, can’t wait to read more from you.

  16. New Adult is definitely going to dominate my TBR. The list is already full of it right now, hahaha! What I don’t really like about some NA plots though is CHEATING :( If the H/h cheats in the story, it totally kills my buzz. Especially if there’s not enough grovelling? Arrrghh!! Actually ff I had my way, he or she shouldn’t be given a second chance anymore! *evil laugh**
Seriously, I would no longer enjoy the rest of the book because I always feel sick to my stomach whenever something like this happens. When there’s a hint of cheating in the summary or reviews, I tend to just skip the book. Don’t want to give myself that kind of heartache. :(

  17. I am excited to read The Edge of Always and Killing Sarai. My comments on what I’d like to read next? I really can’t tell you J.A. I mean, I can’t see you writing a bad story! LOL!

  18. The cover did turned out great. At first I thought it was just a beautiful cover and then when I took a closer look, realized how chilling it is at the same time—which fits a romantic suspense perfectly. Look forward to reading it.

  19. I really can’t wait to read this book! Sounds amazing!

  20. I would love to read this you are a great author.

  21. I SO WANT TO READ THIS! I’m sure it will be as amazing as The Edge of Never.

  22. I feel like we’ve seen NA Contemporary just about every which way, but the NA Fantasy, Paranormal, Dystopian etc. we haven’t really seen, but I would love to read!

  23. You asked to leave a comment of what I would like to see less or more of. I can’t really answer that. It all depends on the story and writing. When the story is good it does not matter. I hope that makes sense. That is why I enjoy all genres.

  24. OmG! love the cover! so excited to read another book from you Ms. Redmerski! ;)

  25. This sounds awesome!! I am looking forward to reading it!
