My Own ’10 Weird Things’ Feature

I’ve been doing the ’10 Weird Things’ segment for a few other people on my blog and did one for myself back on my Bewitching Book Tour for THE MAYFAIR MOON and thought I’d add it over here, too. So here is my list of 10 Weird Things about myself! Yes, I admit it up front: I am weird. :-D

1) I’m terrified of heights, particularly airplanes or anything man-made (rides at the fair, elevators, tall buildings, etc.). But just thinking about being on a plane gives me anxiety!

2) I smoked for eleven years, until 2007 when my left lung collapsed and I spent five days in the hospital with a tube hanging out of my chest. It’s safe to say that I’ve never touched a cigarette since then and I wish I would’ve never smoked! Not only because of the lung collapse, but because life without being slave to a cigarette is so much better.

3) I don’t eat red meat and will only eat chicken that is hormone and antibiotic free and fish that is not farm raised.

4) I have such a strong sense of smell that I can smell the toxins and sickness coming off a person’s body that is running a fever.

5) I have a mild case of OCD and hypochondria.

6) I used to be a hardcore role player on MSN for many years. My most-known ‘characters’ names were GVN Josephine DeNotte and Empress Serenesta DETH.

7) There will always be a huge place in my heart for 80’s music and movies.

8) I have seen the film, The Lost Boys, sixty-five times and at one point I could recite the movie from beginning to end, word-for-word.

9) I am the author of DIRTY EDEN. (Trust me, this fits perfectly on any list of weird things).

10) Years ago, I used to have dreams about fires and if I ever had them three nights in a row, something close to me would catch fire on the fourth day!

So, now that I’ve spilled my guts, why don’t you join me in my stupidity and leave a comment telling me something weird about yourself? Seriously! I’m curious! :-)

Thanks for the comment, Raksha! You’ve just joined the Club for the Weird. :-) lol

Well, I have multiple personalities, and I have major OCD. I’m a book nerd and that’s really all I can say that might qualify me as “weird”. If i think about it, I could probably come u with more.
:)

I was totally obsessed with The Lost Boys and never tire of watching it now they really don’t make the like this way anymore lol

And thank you for the compliment! :-) Teehee!

OH! Lost Boys for you too, huh, Sylvia? LOL Hell, I might watch it again this weekend, hehehe!

Number’s 5, 7 & 8 apply to me too…you are totally amazing and very relatable :) that’s why we get a along woot woot :D

Thanks, Amy! Yeah, smoking sucks! Though I admit if a real-life post-apocalyptic scenario happened, I’d be on them in a heartbeat! But that’s the only excuse I’d ever use to smoke again, LOL.

This was a really great post. I used to smoke too, thankfully when I got pregnant with my daughter I quit instantly and never thought about it again. I love heights. I am a total germaphope though. Like obsessively.

Tamara – Just replace ‘cool’ with ‘bizarre’ and you’ll feel much better about your list, LOL.

I love this but I wonder if I can manage to have as cool of a list as yours… LOL

I have full conversations with my characters in my head and sometimes I even catch myself speaking out loud with myself as I argue with a character on if I will allow them to do something on paper or not. So Kris, you’re not alone…well not fully alone. >.<

That’s what you said yesterday! :-D

*crickets* :-|

Kris…you are one weirdo freak. :-D

Something weird about me that you DON’T know? Hmm…. I have conversations with people in my head that I know face to face. I call them “The You in My Head”. These conversations I often confuse with “The You in My Head” and “The Real You”. So when you don’t know what I’m talking about when I say we’ve talked about it… Then you’ll know it was “The You in My Head” that I was talking to.

Though I totally expect you guys to relay to each other about your conversations with me so your fully abreast of the situation.
