Flea Market Adventures

I go to flea markets and antique stores a lot. Today I went with my daughter and my mom.

Finding a cart was easy, if you’re a Hobbit.

And yes, I actually did use it! Hey, some of the aisles are thin and having a mini buggy is perfect. I remember my days of being stuck out in the hall because my cart was too big to take down into the nooks and crannies (did I just type ‘nooks and crannies’?!) where you often find all the little treasures. Not today! No, sir! I am a flea market professional and I now laugh at the big-buggy users as I watch them from the ‘inside’, the discouraged expressions on their faces, the dilemma: “Do I risk leaving my cart all alone in the aisle where it’ll either get stolen because it’s empty, or someone might think the items in it are still for sale?”

No, I didn’t buy the hat.

And I didn’t buy C-3Po

There was a huge selection of comic books, which I know nothing about and wouldn’t know where to begin. Maybe there’s a rare in there somewhere. Doubtful, but you never know.

Comics are cool…

Cowboy boot light sets, not so much. :-|

Hey Brian, this was a photo just for you! Heh.

I couldn’t resist! It’s an old school typewriter! I should have bought it, just because.

In fact, I can’t believe I didn’t buy a single book this time, either. I’m shocked. Completely shocked.

Oh well, that only gives me an excuse to buy twice as many next time.

I did pick up Pirates of the Caribbean – At World’s End, and I’m going to pop some popcorn and get ready to watch it now. We saw it in theatres on opening night. I laughed my ass off when the little guy gets blown backward through the air after shooting off a cannon or something. Funny stuff!
