Yesterday was wonderful. It rained a lot and stayed breezy and cool into the night (that’s a godsend in Arkansas this time of year!) and then there were rainbows…

…two of them practically over my apartment. And it continued to rain off and on even with the sun out, which is always interesting enough for pause no matter how many times you see it.

If you click on the photo and enlarge it you can see the rain on the left side. And yes, it only rained on the left side! Another interesting event that never fails to amaze me.

Oh, and before all this, I quit my job. Yep. I had to, and though I’m jobless at the moment, I feel such a huge burden and a lot of anger and anxiety lifted from me. In a way, the rainbows and the rain and all the beautiful little oddities seemed to come at the right moment, as if saying, “Hey, things will be alright now.” Or something like that….

It was surreal.

Update 7/24/09 – I went back to the job I quit, yesterday. Misunderstandings cleared up, problems addressed and issues talked through with my employer. All is good again.
